Natural Pearl
Formed naturally within mollusks, natural pearls are distinguished by luminous surfaces and individual shapes that have made them enduring materials for personal ornament.
Inspired by the eroded, perforated forms of traditional Taihu stones, sculptural openwork metal wraps around the upper length of a dark purple sandalwood hairpin. Narrow organic projections extend from the irregular crown, while a single natural pearl hangs beneath as a restrained counterpoint.
